Murio Kevin DuBrow (Quiet Riot)
Recibí esta triste noticia hoy a través de Blabbermouth:
Michael Politz of The Vegas Eye reported earlier today that DuBrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Sunday, November 25. According to Politz, DubRow — whom Politz calls “one of my closest friends” — recently celebrated his 52nd birthday in New Orleans “where he ate great food and even caught THE CULT at The House of Blues.”
Sin duda una gran pérdida, recuerdo mucho cuando era muy niño y miraba el video de “Come on feel the noise” en un programa de TV llamado “La máquina del rock”, el video es este
Quiet Riot es toda una institución en la movida metal de los 80’s. Es el tipo de banda que todo el mundo quiere ver en concierto, todos sus miembros eran muy carismáticos incluído el fallecido Randy Rhoads. Yo recuerdo que Quiet Riot era el tipo de banda infaltable en una disco de finales de los 80’s o los quinces a los que empezaba a ir.
Lo mas triste es que nunca pude verlos en concierto!! recuerdo que en el año 2000, no recuerdo el mes (la memoria que es ingrata) Quiet Riot vino a Perú! yo estaba trabajando en Arequipa y no pude asistir, esa fué mi gran oportunidad, pero lamentablemente no pudo ser. Espero que la banda no se disuelva, pero sin duda no será lo mismo sin el gran Kevin
